Toni Wofford serves as the Aquarium’s Vice President of Philanthropy; working to ensure the development and success of the Aquarium by leading strategic initiatives to grow philanthropic support. Since joining the Aquarium, she has worked to build an extensive fundraising structure and capital campaign plans to support the Aquarium’s $43+ million annual operating budget.

Toni has over a decade of experience in the philanthropic sector; working with the American Heart Association and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Toni is focused on building and expanding vital funding from corporate and community, individual and family, planned and annual giving; foundation relations, and as well as events. Toni has a history of success with cultivating relationships to secure funding through meaningful and mutually beneficial partnerships.

As a Tampa native, Toni has fond memories of enjoying family vacations at the beach and visits to the Aquarium, which ignited a lifelong passion for the ocean. She continues the tradition with her two sons, both avid animal lovers and marine enthusiasts! Toni graduated from the University of South Florida with her B.A. in Mass Communications and Public Relations.
